With works such as Shirt (with Correction), 1990; Studio Portrait (with Pants for Hiding), 1991; Working Print (for Barrel with Suspenders), 1992-3; Trickle, 1992-93; Family Portrait, 1994; and Marker, 1995; I set out to interrogate and analyze language as a pliable material, stretching the rational order and proportion of traditional communication and cultural norms.
